Today, digital powers virtually every move a company makes. Emerging technologies confer a huge advantage to the companies quick enough to spot them first.

The sound bites about Agile and DevOps can make them sound like very different ideas.

As the elder, Agile may be less vague, but it’s certainly common for people to become frustrated with the myriad of definitions for DevOps.

In simple words, the DevOps application during the software development process reduces the number of steps necessary to bring software to market.

DevOps implementation focuses also on the software scalability, how well it could be deployed and also its monitoring and maintenance after the future releases However, there is also a downside to traditional DevOps benefits.

Many organizations have succeeded in implementing agile methodologies to speed up software delivery.

Agile, which started in the development organization, has gradually expanded into other areas downstream, namely IT and operations.

To build on this success, DevOps and continuous delivery have emerged to help connect development with IT operations to support and amplify agility, responsiveness, and faster time to market throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Project Management

Throughout the duration of a project, you and your team will either choose or be forced to make a series of important decisions which could affect the outcome of the entire project.

The first of which usually revolves around which type of project management methodology you wish to follow.

There are a variety of different project management frameworks to use, but for the purposes of this article, we will focus on Waterfall, Agile and Scrum principles.

No matter, which Project Management technology you prefer, we got you covered and are ready to support you.

Agile | Scrum

Scrum is a sub-group of Agile, and regarded as the most popular framework for implementing Agile.

The model is based upon iterative software development and is used to manage complex software and product development.

Sprints allow the development team to ship software on a regular cadence, resulting in new plans and steps being created by stakeholders and teams at the end of each sprint, bolstering performance.

Scrum is great for product development in complex environments.

SAFe

Scaled Agile Framework® empowers complex organizations to achieve the benefits of Lean-Agile software and systems development at scale.

SAFe is designed to help businesses continuously and more efficiently deliver value on a regular and predictable schedule.

The Scaled Agile Framework® is a set of organization and workflow patterns for implementing agile practices at enterprise scale.

SAFe promotes alignment, collaboration, and delivery across large numbers of agile teams.

It was formed around three primary bodies of knowledge: agile software development, lean product development, and systems thinking.

As businesses grow in size, SAFe provides a structured approach for scaling agile.

Waterfall

Waterfall methodology follows a step-by-step, linear process and is the most straightforward and popular version of the system development life cycle for software engineering and information technology.

Due to Waterfall’s linear nature, it is impossible to go back a step or jump forward without starting the entire process again from scratch.

The term ‘waterfall’ is used as a way of describing the process which involves each step of the process beholden to the previous one, building upon previous foundations to create a process flow headed in a single direction.

In direct contrast to the Waterfall method, Agile software development is based on an iterative, incremental approach.

RPA Intelligent Automation

In today’s digital world, automation is the name of the game. Now, there are many ways to automate different aspects of your business processes with a range of technologies and platforms. However, Intelligent RPA offers a refreshing new take on automating your workflow.

Intelligent RPA is an emerging service that designs and deploys robotic processes to perform simple tasks such as data entry or customer service requests – these automated bots can’t replace human intelligence or creativity but they do help reduce time-consuming tasks that are tedious but necessary. With Intelligent RPA, you’ll be able to focus on more strategic projects while still providing high levels of customer service – it’s like having an extra pair of hands at work!

Intelligent RPA technology is designed to tackle repetitive tasks in customer-facing or data-intensive industries such as banking, insurance, and healthcare. For example, with this new automation technology, your staff can easily handle a large amount of the simple requests that come in through the contact center – by focusing on supervising the robotic process rather than worrying about the tedious details. The process starts with an Intelligent RPA application which is written by your team and then deployed onto a robot. From there, the bot takes over – acting as a virtual assistant that you can control through any web browser or computer terminal. With this level of automation, your company will be able to free up valuable resources in order to focus on higher-level tasks.

In 2006, Amazon Web Services (AWS) began offering IT infrastructure services to businesses in the form of web services – now commonly known as cloud computing.

By now, Amazon Web Services is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, offering over 200 fully featured services from data centers globally.

One of the key benefits of cloud computing is the opportunity to replace up-front capital infrastructure expenses with low variable costs that scale with your business.

With the Cloud, businesses no longer need to plan for and procure servers and other IT infrastructure weeks or months in advance.

Amazon Web Services provides a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers hundreds of thousands of businesses in 190 countries around the world.

AWS is able to build and manage a global infrastructure at scale, and pass the cost saving benefits onto you in the form of lower prices.

The Azure cloud platform was launched on February 1, 2010, significantly later than its main competitor, AWS.It consists of more than 200 products and cloud services designed to help you bring new solutions to life-to solve today’s challenges and create the future.

At its core, Azure is a public cloud computing platform-with solutions including Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, and Software as a Service that can be used for services such as analytics, virtual computing, storage, networking, and much more.

Microsoft Azure – IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
Flexible – Move compute resources up and down as needed
Open – Supports almost any OS, language, tool, or framework
Reliable – 99.95% availability SLA and 24×7 tech support
Global – Data housed in geo-synchronous data centers
Economical – Only pay for what you use

Today, cloud computing applications and platforms are rapidly growing across all industries, serving as the IT infrastructure that drives new digital businesses.

While there are many cloud computing platforms available, two platforms dominate the cloud computing industry: Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure are the two giants in the world of cloud computing.

While AWS is the largest cloud computing platform, Microsoft Azure is the fastest-growing and second-largest.

Microsoft Services

The need for business intelligence is universal. Businesses have so many disparate data sources from various unconnected applications that often go unused or at least underutilized. The answer to this problem? Microsoft Power BI, Power Apps, and SharePoint.

Microsoft’s cloud-based software solutions have made it possible for businesses of all sizes to utilize their data in meaningful ways without having an army of programmers on staff. These three tools offer the potential to help almost every business by turning your business experts into application developers.

With the help of Microsoft Power BI, businesses can quickly visualize and analyze data using reports and dashboards. Your business experts are able to take advantage of tools that make it possible for them to build out visualizations with just a few clicks. There is no need for any programming experience, as this solution offers an intuitive interface that makes sense to users without programming skills. With Microsoft Power Apps users have the ability to create custom no-code or low-code applications that connect previously unconnected data from any source. SharePoint is a web-based collaborative platform that integrates with Microsoft Office. Launched in 2001, SharePoint is primarily used as a document management and storage system, but the product is highly configurable and usage varies substantially among organizations.

Salesforce is a fairly new IT solution that started as a SaaS CRM application but has evolved in the meantime into a coding platform for various use cases. The company offers various products, such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and many more. In the last few years, it has become one of the most popular enterprise software companies around the world.

Salesforce’s success can be attributed to its visionary founder and CEO Marc Benioff who realized early on that Salesforce should evolve into a flexible application platform rather than a single solution. There are now over 550 apps on the Salesforce AppExchange. There are a number of different types, ranging from analytics to marketing to e-commerce tools. All these applications run in the cloud and are built using various programming languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, PHP, JavaScript etc.

As it becomes easier for developers to connect their software with Salesforce through its API platform – data can be seamlessly integrated between systems and organizations can benefit from the data synergies.

Bot Development

A chatbot is a software application used to conduct an on-line chat conversation via text or text-to-speech, in lieu of providing direct contact with a live human agent. These chatbots, or bots for short, have come a long way in terms of their sophistication since the technology became commonly available around 2015 when Facebook allowed bots on their messenger platform.

Today, relevant business use cases span the gamut of assistant bots, finance compliance, insurance tasks, and supplementing HR practices just to name a few. Their tasks can be divided into automation and augmentation. Automation of routine tasks can improve overall productivity and performance. Augmentation bots powered by artificial intelligence and natural language processing are better than humans at switching tasks and sifting through large amounts of data.

Let us help you build your strategy around using bots to automate some of your business tasks. We have been working with all major platforms and industries and would love to bring in our know-how.”
