D.R. Planning

A Disaster Recovery (DR) exercise should be conducted at least once each year in order to ensure that there are processes in place to safeguard the company’s data. Loss of data is in most cases extremely expensive for companies and in some cases fatal, when a company simply cannot persist without the lost data.

 

Teacup offers a one-time assessment to determine the current preparedness in case of a disaster. The following questions need to be answered:

 

  • Are backups taken at the designed intervals?
  • Are enough backups kept?
  • Can data be restored from those backups?
  • Can the business continue after restoring from backup?

 

The exercise will be documented with successes and failures, and remediation tasks captured that will eliminate these failures.
